Our flightseeing platform is a classic 1960 Cessna 182C Skylane. This aircraft is a rugged and proven performer. Cessna 182s are legendary for their combination of speed, load hauling, short takeoff & landing (STOL) capabilities, economics, and reliability. The powerful Continental engine teamed with a rugged airframe make this the ideal 4 seat aircraft for flightseeing air tours in the high country.
The 1960 “C” model is especially suited to our mission due to a list of characteristics that differentiate it from all other 182 year models. These include: manual flaps, trimmable stabilizer, fastback fuselage, modern swept tail, tall gear legs, and third rear windows. No other models of 182s have all of these features in a single design. The 182C is truly unique.

Additionally, we have modified our “Skylane” to improve it’s safety and backcountry capabilities. Things like BAS shoulder harnesses, a Sportsman STOL leading edge cuff, new tinted side windows, an Airglas heavy duty nose fork, and oversized “tundra” tires with upgraded wheels and “double puck” brakes are important improvements to this classic aircraft.
